The screw cap
The Twist lock is one of the most frequently used closures in some areas. It has a rotary knob with which it is closed, opened and adjusted.
Operating a twist lock is very simple. If you turn the knob to the right, the rope or strap to which the knob is connected becomes taut. If the knob is turned to the left, the rope or strap loses tension again.
To make opening easier, some models have a quick-release function. Thanks to this, all you have to do is press the center of the button to immediately release the tension on the rope or strap.
High-quality twist locks offer an extremely high clamping force. This and their small size make them very popular in many areas. They are also easy to operate, even with one hand. Even children can handle a twist lock well. This is why this type of quick-release fastener is often used for children's shoes.

It is equipped with a planetary gearbox that ensures a transmission ratio of 5 to 1. This makes it particularly suitable for areas where a lot of force is required.
When it comes to integrating a quick-release fastener in a small space, the Swock M mini a good choice. It has a particularly flat design and therefore opens up various options for use.
The Swocky Smart. It can be equipped with three types of swivel wheels, which can also be fitted with an LED light if desired. The color and design of the rotating wheel and the type of base can also be customized.
The ratchet fastener
Another type of quick-release fastener is the Ratchet fastener. It is operated via a lever that is swiveled to tighten and loosen. The ratchet lock is used with a Timing belt. By moving the lever, the belt can be moved forwards or backwards by one tooth at a time.
The ratchet fasteners available from Gudo can accommodate straps and bands with a width of 18 or 22 millimetres. A smaller model is, for example, the Mini A. Its lever is longer than that of the otherwise identical Mini N, making it easier to use.
Both models have a quick-release function that is triggered when the lever is pressed all the way down.
The ratchet buckles are a new development from Gudo Easy S and Easy L. Each of these products is available in a version with a straight and a curved base plate. The Easy S accepts straps and belts 18 millimetres wide, while the Easy L can be 22 millimetres wide.
The tension lock
The category of quick-release fasteners also includes Clamping fasteners. They are also equipped with a lever that can be used to attach a strap, belt or rope. To prevent the fastener from opening unintentionally, it has safety mechanisms. The RVH from Gudo for example, has a holder that must first be pushed upwards before opening.
Other models such as the Cross are equipped with a snap-on function that prevents accidental opening.
Snap fasteners were originally developed for use on ski boots. They are now also used in other areas, where they perform well.
